ANC implored to put South Africa first

JOHANNESBURG - It's one of those moments again in South African politics, when pleas go out to the ANC, to put the country first.

The governing party has been weighing its options, as it deals with the fallout from the independent panel's report into the Phala Phala scandal.

Anglican Archbishop Thabo Makgoba and other religious leaders, are calling for calm as the process unfolds.

The ANC will be holding meetings in the next two days, to plot a way forward.
