JOHANNESBURG - ANC President Cyril Ramaphosa has urged delegates to use the 55th elective conference as a time of reflection.
He made this call while delivering his political report at Nasrec.
Ramaphosa says there are areas where progress has stalled when it comes to improving the lives of South Africans.
He's attributed this to large-scale corruption, among other factors.
"Weaknesses in governance and service delivery have contributed to failing services," he said.
"Corruption and mismanagement that resources meant for the poor have been diverted.
This task to restore positive trajectory of social and economic development must be central to the work of the ANC."
