Alleged serial rapist abandons bail bid

POLOKWANE - Alleged serial rapist Bonolo Seoka has abandoned his bail application.

He appeared briefly in the Bolobedu magistrate’s court outside Tzaneen on Wednesday morning.

In his first appearance on Tuesday, a charge of attempted murder was added to the case.

The 33-year-old is accused of seven counts of rape and robbery committed between 2015 and 2016.

The NPA says during his arrest for the seven rapes last week, Seoka was out on R2,000 for allegedly raping a 15-year-old girl in 2021.
