JOHANNESBURG - The credibility of this year's matric results have been cast into doubt.
This follows the emergence of cheating allegations in Mpumalanga.
Basic Education Department spokesperson Elijah Mhlanga says a teacher has been suspended for allegedly sharing matric paper exam answers.
Its alleged pupils paid teachers to access the material.
In a bid to save its reputation, the Department is being called upon to give matric pupils a chance to re-write affected exam papers.
Mhlanga says a full investigation is underway.
