JOHANNESBURG - A suspected kingpin in drug and kidnapping cases has been arrested at OR Tambo International Airport.
Police swooped on the 40-year-old Zambian national arriving from his home country on Sunday.
Authorities suspect him to be the ringleader of a kidnapping syndicate targeting businessmen in South Africa.
He is specifically linked to the kidnapping of a 63-year-old businessman from Roodepoort in July.
The suspect is also linked to a R300m crystal meth drug bust.
The Zambian national is expected to be charged alongside eight other suspects arrested for the kidnapping.
