JOHANNESBURG - The Eastern Cape Education Department says it is all systems go for the start of the school year next week.
Education officials faced a myriad of challenges last year.
Some schools struggled to get textbooks and stationery while many pupils were stranded after officials failed to secure transport providers.

Provincial Education MEC, Fundile Gade, is adamant most of these issues have been resolved.
However, there are still concerns about the appalling state of some schools which have been vandalised over the festive season.
