MAHIKENG - Alleged insurance killer Agnes Setshwantsho has been postponed to 9 September.
This is for a pre-trial hearing at the North West High Court in Mahikeng.
Setshwantsho faces several charges including murder, fraud, and defeating the ends of justice.
She faces charges in the Northern Cape for the murder of her son Kutlo who she had insured for R6 million. In the North West she faces charges for the murder of her niece Bonolo Modiseemang for a R30 payout.
The National Director of Public Prosecutions has certified that the cases be centralised and be tried in the North West High Court.
The defence says they want to familiarise themselves with the contents of the docket now that all the charges have been centralised.
Modiseemang's parents say they are hopeful that justice will be served.
Meanwhile, the police are investigating the Setshwantsho's husband's mysterious 2016 death. A forensic team has exhumed Warrant Officer Justice Setshwantsho's remains earlier this year.
During her bail application, the court heard that Setshwantsho allegedly took over 50 insurance policies for her relatives with several insurance companies.
