ActionSA terminates membership of two Tshwane councillors

PRETORIA - ActionSA has terminated the membership of two Tshwane councillors who apparently refused to toe the party line.

Mpho Baloyi and Mandla Mhlaba are believed to have voted for former mayor Murunwa Makwarela and speaker Mncedi Ndzwanana.

The party conducted an investigation after Makwarela was elected last month.

The disgraced former mayor resigned after it emerged that his insolvency rehabilitation certificate was fake.

ActionSA also believes the councillors leaked the venue of polygraph tests which the EFF later disrupted.

Meanwhile, the City of Tshwane is expected to elect a new mayor on Friday.
