42,000 arrested, 45 shot dead in KZN since August

DURBAN - Parts of KwaZulu-Natal have been identified as the most dangerous in the country after provincial crime stats were released on Tuesday.

But police in the province - who've removed over 1,500 guns from the streets in three months - say they are making progress in dealing with crime.
