JOHANNESBURG - More political parties are being launched in the country as the 2024 general elections approach.
Two parties Rise Mzansi and Arise South Africa were launched on Wednesday.
Last month, former Action SA's Gauteng leader, Bongani Baloyi also announced his new party, Xiluva.

Meanwhile, the Electoral Amendment Bill has been signed into law.
It paves the way for independent candidates to contest positions in the National Assembly and provincial legislatures.
There are, however, requirements that must be met.
These include the inspection of copies of lists and their accompanying documents.
