2024 Elections | New faces head to parliament

JOHANNESBURG - Independent Electoral Commission Chairperson, Mosotho Moepya, has handed over the list of future MPs and members of provincial legislatures to Chief Justice Raymond Zondo. 

The handover is in preparation for the first sitting of the National Assembly - the date of which has yet to be announced. 

He has described the handing over as a milestone for the country's democracy.

The reconfigured power dynamics of the National Assembly means some ministers will not be returning to parliament.
