2024 elections | Kwa-Thema residents demand less campaigning, more services

JOHANNESBURG - It's the country's economic hub, contributing over 30 percent of the national GDP.

Gauteng is a highly prized province to win, for all major political parties in this month's elections.

And the Ekurhuleni metro, with its more than four million residents, represents a significant voting bloc.

But service delivery there has been poor, with mayoral changes hampering any improvements.

Not all is lost, according to former deputy president David Mabuza, who is promising residents of Kwa-Thema a swift turnaround.
