JOHANNESBURG - Roger Jardine’s Change Starts Now will no longer be contesting the 2024 elections.
The new party says this is due to the Constitutional Court's recent ruling and the barriers it imposes.
The Apex Court chose not to hear a challenge to IEC rules regarding new parties.

Some parties wanted the court to finalise how many signatures new parties needed to contest the polls.
But the court said a ruling could cause disruptions and uncertainty in preparations for the May elections.
Jardine says while they will not be on the ballot, it is willing to back parties who share their values.
