JOHANNESBURG - It certainly seems that the Brics summit is safely locked down ahead of the gala dinner taking place on Monday.
Police Minister Bheki Cele said police were prepared for the influx of VIPs including heads of state from a number of countries.
Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa make up forty percent of the world's population, and the visitors represent significant trading potential.
Cele said, "as it starts tonight [Monday], at about 23:30 the head of state of the People's Republic of China will be here and received at the highest level by the head of the state of the Republic of South Africa."
