HARARE - A serious cholera outbreak continues to ravage Zimbabwe, and now the capital Harare has been crippled by the waterborne disease.
By Thursday, 155 cholera deaths had been recorded since February.
Over 8,700 cases have also been recorded countrywide.
Residents of Harare blame sewage pipe bursts, non collection of garbage and lack of clean tap water as the main drivers of the latest cholera outbreak.
Community health workers have been going door-to-door, teaching Harare residents on ways to prevent cholera.
Harare City authorities have appealed for local and international assistance as the cholera situation worsens in the city.
