HARRISMITH - The South African Weather Service has issued warnings for the Western and Northern Cape.
From midnight, residents in the Cape Winelands, Cederberg, Stellenbosch, Paarl, Central and Little Karoo Mountains of the Western Cape can expect disruptive snowfalls.
Various mountain passes may be closed, and there may also be traffic disruptions, due to icy roads.
Communities are being warned that services may be disrupted and that some areas may be temporarily inaccessible.
Another cold front is expected to hit parts of KwaZulu-Natal, Free State and the Eastern Cape.
Last weekend these provinces experienced extreme weather leaving travellers stuck on the N3 for hours.
