JOHANNESBURG - Friends and family of former Minister and Reserve Bank governor Tito Mboweni, bid him a final farewell.
Mboweni has been laid to rest at Bodweni Cemetry in Limpopo.
He died aged 65 in Johannesburg last Saturday following a short illness.
Mboweni was remembered as a dedicated and committed public servant.
He was honoured with a special official Category 2 funeral.
President Cyril Ramaphosa has described Mboweni as the star that shined the brightest.
Ramaphosa delivered the eulogy at the funeral of the leader who served as Labour Minister, Reserve Bank governor and Finance Minister.
