WATCH | Minister Motsoaledi talks on changes the way work visas are provided in SA

 

PRETORIA - The Home Affairs Department has changed the way work visas are provided in South Africa. 

In 2022, President Cyril Ramaphosa announced the country would be reviewing its visa regime to promote investment in South Africa.

After research by the department, Home Affairs Minister, Aaron Motsoaledi announced a range of new regulations, including the addition of digital nomad visas. 

These visas allow foreigners to come and work remotely from South Africa if they earn more than R1m a year. The minister spoke to eNCA.
