WATCH | Home Affairs Deputy Minister talks on dealing with ID fraud

JOHANNESBURG - Intensive planning by the Home Affairs department to deal with fraud involving identity books and cards are proceeding.

A month ago, the department gave 30 days to people with blocked IDs to provide written reasons why their IDs shouldn't be cancelled.

That deadline expired on Tuesday. Where are we now in terms of those IDs?
