JOHANNESBURG - Electricity and Energy Minister Kgosientsho Ramokgopa has intervened, to avoid a complete blackout in Johannesburg.
The minister wants Eskom and the city to leave the courts out of their dispute.

He has engaged an outside electrical firm SANEDI, which will report its recommendation within 14 days.
For now Eskom wants the city to pay its current account of R1.4bn for October,
while this matter is being settled.
