JOHANNESBURG - Zandile Mafe, the man accused of setting Parliament alight, has been declared unfit to stand trial.
This means he is no longer a criminal accused, instead he immediately becomes a mental health patient.
Mafe was assessed and experts found he suffered from Schizophrenia.
However, Mafe rejected the findings and argued he was of sound mind and has the capacity to stand trial.
Ayesha Ismail reports his lawyers intend appealing the ruling.
