JOHANNESBURG - Although there is an effective treatment programme against human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) and acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS) backseat around the continued need for education and prevention.
This is according to Judi Nwokedi, chairperson of Nkosi’s Haven has who spoke to eNCA's anchor Marcelle Gordon on Saturday as the country observes World Aids Day.

Nwokedi spoke alongside Thabo Johnson, Operations Manager at Nkosi’s Haven were speaking on the challenges faced in response to the epidemic, and the need for increased funding.
Nkosi'a Haven is a non-governmental organisation (NGO) named after Aids activist Nkosi Johnson that offers care and support for mothers and their children whose lives have been impacted by the virus.
