JOHANNESBURG - Politicians and ordinary citizens continue to react to Wednesday's shocking postponement of the budget speech.
Build One South Africa says the postponement of the address is one of the signs of instability within the government of national unity.
Bosa leader, Mmusi Maimane discussed this with eNCA saying, "Yesterday was emblematic of the triumph of the politics over people."
"The truth is, we should have all, at the beginning of the onset of the GNU, have immediately identified what the country's priorities are in terms of its own big picture thinking on what the vision is."
"Then, what happens immediately after that is [to ask] how are you going to fund it. So that you can have a government with seven months of preparation time failing at the eleventh hour to be able to say "we are going to table a budget that all coalition partners within the GNU have agreed to that funds the priorities of the GNU and actually are of the best service to the people" shows a disservice to the country, we're dealt with yesterday," he said.
