JOHANNESBURG - The Weather Service has issued warnings of severe weather conditions in several parts of the country.
They include the Eastern Cape, Western Cape, Northern Cape and KwaZulu-Natal.
The service blames the extreme weather on a cut-off low over the western areas.
This with a surface-high over the south will bring heavy rains, gale-force winds and snow.
It comes as at least seven people died following devastating floods in parts of the Eastern Cape.
Deadly floods swept through parts of Kariega, Gqeberha, and East London, leaving a trail of devastation.
Over 500 people have been evacuated.
Meanwhile, in Gauteng, wet and cold weather conditions can be expected throughout the week.
