Warning of dangerous winds and veld fires in parts of SA

JOHANNESBURG - The Weather Service is warning of damaging winds over the most parts of the country. 

It says the conditions are conducive to dangerous veld fires.

Meanwhile, KwaZulu-Natal CoGTA has placed disaster management teams on high alert following the warning.

Wildfires claimed 14 lives in that province and destroyed hundreds of thousands of hectares of vegetation.

Residents are being urged to be extra vigilant.
