Suspected cocaine peddlers nabbed in Western Cape

CAPE TOWN - Western Cape Police have seized a multi-million rand drug consignment in Still Bay. 

A 48-year-old man from Gauteng and a 39-year-old Russian national have been apprehended and are each facing a charge of dealing drugs. 

Officers reacted to information regarding suspicious activity at Still Bay Harbour and later spotted the vehicle with a rubber duck on its trailer which fitted the description.

The suspects were nabbed after attempting to flee from police.

National Police Commissioner Fanie Masemola says police are working to uncover the origins of the consignment.

The men remain in custody and will appear in court soon.
