JOHANNESBURG - A severe storm in Randfontein in Gauteng and Middelburg in Mpumalanga has left dozens injured and homes, cars and a shopping centre damaged.
Several other parts of both provinces were also hit by storms on Wednesday afternoon.

Gauteng Premier Panyaza Lesufi says officials are assessing the storm damage.
In the meantime, emergency services remain on high alert.
The Weather Service is probing if the damage in Randfontein was caused by a tornado, which many people are alluding to on social media.
