SA's water crisis | Water supply shortages continue to frustrate Joburg residents

JOHANNESBURG - Water supply shortages continue to cause frustration in large parts of Johannesburg. 

In some areas, taps have been dry for weeks.

On Thursday, the High Court in Joburg was forced to temporarily shut its doors due to water shortages.

The DA has laid a complaint with the Human Rights Commission.

It wants the commission to hold the Joburg Council accountable for not ensuring water supply to all.

The party also wants the Gauteng government to declare a disaster in order to help residents urgently.

Meanwhile, Mayor Dada Morero will inspect reservoirs across the city.

It comes as Rand Water warns of a complete system collapse if consumption is not reduced.
