PRETORIA - Residents across large parts of Pretoria East have been without water since Friday as the impact of the Mapleton system infrastructure maintenance is felt.
Some residents welcomed the overdue water works while others feel the city hasn't done enough to provide contingency plans.
At the same time, officials have asked for patience as they try to fix years of neglected water infrastructure.
While the maintenance work is expected to wrap up on Tuesday evening, Rand Water has cautioned residents to give the grid up to two weeks to recover.
