JOHANNESBURG - The South African Health Products Regulatory Authority is recalling Yaz Plus contraceptives.
Batch number WEW96J is being recalled due to incorrect tablet arrangement.
The affected packs contain 24 hormone-free tablets and four hormone tablets.
Members of the public are urged to stop using them and consult healthcare professionals for a replacement or refund.
SAHPRA is working with the manufacturer Bayer for a speedy recall.
