JOHANNESBURG - The second consignment of energy equipment donated by China has arrived in South Africa.
It will be handed over to Electricity Minister Kgosientsho Ramokgopa.
The donation is part of the Technical Assistance Programme.
It was announced during Chinese President Xi Jinping’s visit to South Africa last year.
The equipment is set to provide energy security to at least 500 public facilities.
The first delivery comprised around 450 gasoline generators.
This consignment includes more generators and solar power equipment.
