JOHANNESBURG - There's just a day to go before the National Assembly convenes to elect a new President.
But, political parties are still scrambling to reach an agreement on a new government.
The Inkatha Freedom Party is the latest to endorse the Government of National Unity.

It says it will form the government alongside the ANC and DA.
The party is also confident of winning the KwaZulu-Natal Premiership through a coalition.
The 7th Parliament will hold its first sitting on Friday where the President and Speaker will be elected.
Members of Parliament will also be sworn in.
