Police probe blaze at Eldorado Park school

JOHANNESBURG - Gauteng police are investigating the cause of a Lancea Vale Secondary school in Eldorado Park.

The blaze gutted three classrooms.

It's alleged the fire was started by a group of pupils involved in a gang activity.

Although no injuries were sustained the fire has triggered safety concerns at the school.

This is not the first instance of gang violence at the school.

A pupil was stabbed by another at the school last week.

Education MEC Matome Chioloane has expressed concerns over the incidents.

He is warning parents and pupils that violence will not be tolerated at schools.
