JOHANNESBURG - Temporary Pikitup workers are refusing to pick it up.
Trash is piling up around Johannesburg as the strike by contract workers continues.
They are protesting over their contracts, which will soon expire, and are demanding permanent employment.
Pikitup says they are doing all they can to restore services as soon as possible.
Meanwhile, municipal workers union SAMWU is distancing itself from the strike.
It's calling on protesting workers to allow permanent staff to do their duties.
