Oshoek port operations suspended after truck crash

JOHANNESBURG - The Border Management Authority and South African Revenue Service have temporarily suspended operations at the Oshoek Border Post in Mpumalanga.

This after an accident involving a 32-ton coal truck.

The truck, reportedly experiencing brake failure, collided with multiple vehicles.

Three people were injured.

The SAPS is investigating the incident and operations will remain suspended until safety assessments are completed.

Travellers are advised to use alternative ports of entry.
