CAPE TOWN - President Cyril Ramaphosa says government will concentrate on three priorities over the next five years.
They are driving inclusive growth and job creation, the high cost of living, and building a developmental state.
"We are committed to improve the well-being of our country and its people through inclusive growth, the creation of jobs and the reduction of poverty," the president said.
In his address, Ramaphosa promised business-friendly reforms, such as an overhaul of the graft-ridden public service, and to "massively increase" investment in infrastructure.
"Red tape debilitates the creation of jobs. Every department and every public entity has been directed to reduce the undue regulatory burdens that hold back businesses from creating jobs," he said.
