Officials visit KZN bus crash site

DURBAN - KwaZulu-Natal transport officials are visiting the scene of the deadly bus crash on the N2 North, near Mandeni.

Nine people, including a toddler, were killed when the 82-seater bus veered off the road yesterday.

At least 80 others were rushed to various hospitals.

The bus was transporting churchgoers from Richards Bay.

KZN Transport and Human Settlements MEC Siboniso Duma said the bus driver is alive.

He's currently in the hospital being monitored.
