JOHANNESBURG - The Nelson Mandela Bay Metro says it will cost over R1-billion to repair the city's infrastructure. 

It follows devastating floods that have claimed at least 10 lives.

Thousands of people are being housed in shelters.

The damage includes water pipelines, wastewater treatment plants, electrical substations and transformers.

President Cyril Ramaphosa is visiting the area on Friday.
