JOHANNESBURG - The death toll of MPox in South Africa has risen to two.
The Health Department has also announced another laboratory-confirmed case.
The latest patient is a 38-year-old man who was admitted to a hospital in Mgungudlovu in KwaZulu-Natal.
He tested positive after presenting with lesions, headache, fatigue, oral ulcers, muscle pain and a sore throat.
Unfortunately, the patient died the day his test results came back.
The department is urging anyone with similar symptoms to be tested as soon as possible.
