KOMATIPOORT - As drivers, we get paid when the wheels are turning.
That's word from one of the hundreds of drivers who have been stuck at the Lebombo border post.
The border was closed for three days after post-election unrest in Mozambique.
Many connected to the busy port of entry have been left counting the cost of waiting.
Besides limited communication and no access to food or sanitation, being stuck here also means their pay is heavily affected.
As tensions continue, Mozambique's deputy transport and communications minister Amilton Allisone hopes the financial impact felt on the other side of the Lebombo border can be eased in two weeks.
