JOHANNESBURG - Regional airline Airlink is among the businesses affected by post-election protests in Mozambique.
It confirmed it had to cancel two early-morning flights from Maputo to South Africa due to the violence.
A flight from Maputo to Cape Town was called off, as was a departure heading to Johannesburg.
Passengers with bookings on the affected flights were accommodated on a later flight to Johannesburg.
Post-election protests look set to affect Airlink flights to Maputo for the foreseeable future.
The airline says destinations like Beira, Nampula, Pembe, Tete and Vilanculos are unaffected at the moment.
