Meyiwa murder trial continues

PRETORIA - The Senzo Meyiwa murder trial resumes on Monday morning.

Vodacom’s Pinky Vythilingam continues her cross-examination over links between the accused.

Last week, Fisokuhle Ntuli denied being in Vosloorus or near the crime scene on the day Meyiwa was killed.

He claims he was sleeping when the shooting occurred.

Previously, the police's Sizwe Zungu placed all five accused at a gathering at a hostel in Vosloorus.

Cellphone data shows two of the accused called each other just hours before the shooting of the soccer star.

Meanwhile, the state is being accused of trumping up a case against singer Kelly Khumalo.

The defence has also threatened to open a case of fraud and defeating the ends of justice against the police.
