JOHANNESBURG - ANC Secretary General Fikile Mbalula says they are leading the Government of National Unity and they will never walk away from it.
The GNU was formed after the ANC failed to win an outright majority in the 2024 general elections.
The SG insists that as the leader in the unity government, the party will not walk away.
Mbalula maintains Khayelitsha choice was deliberate
The choice of Mandela Park Stadium in Khayelitsha for the ANC's January 8 statement was deliberate.
Mbalula says it was chosen to take the ANC's 113th anniversary back to the people.
It comes as Cape Town mayor Geordin Hill-Lewis says the party failed to book the Cape Town stadium in time.
But, Mbalula said the party always intended taking the event to the township.
