WATCH | Another witness takes the stand at Joshlin Smith trial

SALDANHA BAY - The trial into the disappearance of Joshlin Smith continues at the Western Cape High Court sitting in Saldanha Bay.

On Monday, Joshlin's mother Kelly was brought to tears after her former employer called her a good mother.

But, other witnesses described her as a drug addict with a volatile relationship with her boyfriend.

The court also heard from Investigating Officer Refilwe Sekhobe.

She testified that police were told the six-year-old was sold to a traditional healer.

Kelly Smith, Jacquen Appolis, and Stevano van Rhyn are facing charges of kidnapping and human trafficking.

All three have pleaded not guilty.
