DURBAN - oThongathi residents in KwaZulu-Natal are pleading for temporary houses as more rains are expected this weekend.
Twelve people were killed after a tornado swept through the area on Monday.
Affected families are trying to rebuild but are struggling to buy or find materials.
eThekwini mayor Mxolisi Kaunda says over 3,000 people have been displaced.
Twenty schools were affected by the storms and pupils who are writing exams have been placed in nearby schools that can accommodate them.
