PRETORIA - The lead investigator in the Senzo Meyiwa murder trial maintains that Mthobisi Mncube was the triggerman.
This is despite statements from those inside the house that say the intruder was dark in complexion, unlike Mncube.
This emerged during the cross-examination of the state's last witness, Bongani Gininda.
He believes Meyiwa was killed in a contractual hit, masterminded by his then-girlfriend, singer Kelly Khumalo.
The state alleges that Mncube is the short intruder with dreadlocks who shot Meyiwa that night.
However, defence lawyer Charles Mnisi says statements from those inside the house, suggest the intruder was dark in complexion.
Gininda, however, insists that some of those descriptions led to the wrongful arrest of Zamokuhle Mbatha.
