Inanda residents plead for protection following deadly police shootout

DURBAN - Paralysed by fear because of high crime levels, Inanda residents are appealing for protection following a deadly gun battle.

Three suspects were killed and police are searching for another who fled the scene.

A resident told eNCA reporter Dasen Thathiah that residents don't feel safe.

"These people are the ones that usually mark us when coming back from work," she said.
