STILFONTEIN - Illegal miners that remain underground in Stillfontein will receive no food parcels for at least a week.
That’s according to the South African National Civic Organisation, which alleges authorities have destroyed makeshift infrastructure that’s being used to deliver food parcels to the zama zamas.

Government maintains the illegal miners aren't trapped, and are capable of surfacing independently.
Communities have so far rescued 33 people and nine bodies since their operation in the past month, while government says the Stilfontein situation is complex.
