STILFONTEIN - Rescue efforts are ramping up in Stilfontein as Phase Two begins.
Cameras will be sent down the abandoned shaft, in part to determine the number of miners still underground.
Over a thousand miners have resurfaced after Operation Vala uMgodi cut off food, water and medical supplies.
The operation is expected to last several days before the first group is brought to the surface.
