JOHANNESBURG - Illegal miners who surfaced from the Stilfontein mine last week will be appearing in court on Monday.
They emerged with stories of desperation underground.
The zama zamas say bodies are piling up but deny claims of cannibalism.

They also say bosses underground are heavily armed and are holding miners against their will.
Meanwhile, volunteers sending aid down say they need at least R15,000 to continue their work.
SANCO is also accusing government of inhumane treatment and not doing enough to get the miners out.
